About Harris Governance Advisory

Building Stronger Organisations Through Better Governance

At Harris Governance Advisory, we believe that great organisations are built on strong governance, effective leadership, and a culture of integrity.

We partner with sporting organisations, not-for-profit organisations, community associations and governing bodies across Australia to strengthen governance frameworks, improve compliance, manage risk and build sustainable organisations capable of long-term success.

Our approach is practical, independent and outcomes-focused. Rather than delivering generic recommendations, we work alongside our clients to develop governance systems that are fit for purpose, legally compliant and capable of supporting future growth.

Whether reviewing constitutions, modernising governance structures, developing policies, strengthening safeguarding practices or advising Boards on strategic governance matters, our focus remains the same:

Helping organisations govern with confidence.

Our Story

Harris Governance Advisory was established with a simple objective:

To provide Australian sporting organisations and not-for-profit organisations with access to high-quality governance and integrity expertise traditionally available only to large corporations and government agencies.

Many community organisations operate with passionate volunteers, limited resources and increasing legislative and regulatory obligations. While their purpose is inspiring, governance requirements continue to become more complex.

We recognised the need for a consultancy that understands both the operational realities of community organisations and the governance standards expected of modern Boards.

Today, Harris Governance Advisory delivers practical governance solutions designed specifically for the Australian sporting and not-for-profit sectors.
